Best Tool Ever is Meditation
The practice of silencing and calming the mind, meditation, is the one tool that any spiritual seeker needs to practice.
Why? For we have active minds, and yet this constant thinking may very well block out our intuition and that still small voice that is our best guide in life.
Meditation has many benefits as shown in science-based studies and does many wonderful things besides calming the chatter of the mind,
Our world has too much stimulus and without the ability to quiet the chatter of your mind, you may find it very hard to hear that still small voice of your Higher Self or the guidance of your Spiritual Team.
It is in the ‘inner planes’ (that means inside you) that you can talk to All That IS, God, Allah, Creator, Source, that which you may refer to as your highest guide. To hear it, you need to be able not to think for then you may just fool yourself. Quieting the constant thoughts is a key step towards tuning in to the higher knowledge we all can know.
A disciplined mind will assist you in discounting negative chatter that can disrupt your life. It also helps to make the mind much like a still pond of which you can see, hear, know anything that you reflect upon.

Guided meditations help you to learn to navigate the inner planes of your being by beginning with speaking, creating a start of a story like taking you on a path and then there is silence to follow to allow for your own inner guidance to complete the story.
It is when imagination takes over and gives some very needed imagery even advice or something which helps the one meditating.
Shaman call this a “journey”. For you are led through the inner landscapes as a journey. Once you get the practice down, you can create your own and begin to create more consciously.
Guided meditations provides for thinking to stop and the imagination to grow. This might be the best starting point for many at first or for gaining certain information.
‘Quieting the Mind’ is required for advancing beyond certain points of spiritual evolution. It takes time to get to the point of silence, just like learning anything. To be able to stop your thoughts is a powerful thing.
Step Away from Media
Step away! Even for short periods will give you a new sense of peace.
Much of media these days is focused on things that cause depression, anger, frustration, helplessness, coveting, shaming, character assassination and so many non-life affirming stories. Then people wonder why they are so unhappy.
News is better digested in the mornings for when you watch or read late night news which tend to focus on what is wrong, bad and ugly, the thoughts and images will fester in our mind during sleep and may even cause nightmares.
Even our smart phones can take so much attention away from our life that we miss the sweet things.
What you watch and listen to stays with you throughout your day, weeks and months. The quality of what you watch will affect your attitude and life.
What you “fill” your time with has consequences. Use these resources wisely.
Look at your dreams and see how much content from media spills in to your sleep.
Not watching TV, listening to radio, or being on the computer all the time help to clear you mind.
Life is grand when we spend time with people face to face, laughing, eating, sharing stories.
Our phones are back-up, but never replacement for real time spent with who matters in our life. A text never replaces a face to face conversation.
A good media diet is one where you just watch your favorites, and not channeling surfing, or watching everything.
Going to see live sports is more exciting and when shared with friends and family it becomes great memories.
Focus on what you would like and maintain the course!
